I’m David — the person doing the work.

I’m a systems engineer working in the Microsoft and Azure world, and I like making complicated systems feel manageable.

I started Your IT Guy for small business owners who need solid IT help but do not need a large provider, a rotating help desk or another full-time salary. When you call, you get me. I learn how your business works, explain choices without hiding behind jargon, and document what I do.

I will not pretend to know everything or sell you more than you need. I will be clear about what I can handle, follow a careful process and make sure you are never left guessing.

Questions before we talk?

Do we need to change how we work?

Usually, no. My goal is to make the tools you already use safer and easier, not force a whole new way of working. If I recommend a change, I will explain why, what it affects and how we can roll it out without disrupting your team.

What happens when something breaks?

If you are on the monthly plan, send me a message during business hours and I will work with you remotely to get it sorted. Because I already know your setup, you will not have to explain everything from the beginning each time.

Do you do on-site visits?

Most work is handled remotely, which keeps support fast and costs predictable. If an issue truly needs someone on-site in the Montreal area, we can discuss the visit and any additional cost before booking it.

What if we’re not on Microsoft 365?

The first call is still worthwhile. I will take a look at what you use and tell you honestly whether I am the right fit. If moving to Microsoft 365 makes sense, I can scope that as a separate project. If not, I will not push it.
